Eleanor Heeps Joins Brighton Women From Tottenham Hotspur On Permanent Deal

Brighton Women have added another serious development piece to Dario Vidosic’s squad build after confirming the permanent signing of Eleanor Heeps from Tottenham Hotspur.

Brighton confirmed the deal on Tuesday, with the 22-year-old goalkeeper joining from Spurs, subject to the usual regulatory processes. Albion said Heeps spent five years with Tottenham after signing from Liverpool in 2021.

Tottenham also confirmed the permanent transfer, noting that Heeps had loan spells with Blackburn Rovers, Coventry United and Sheffield United during her time in north London.

Heeps Gives Brighton A Goalkeeper Development Route

This is not a glamour signing, but it is a smart squad-building move. Heeps arrives with WSL exposure, loan experience and enough age-profile upside to fit Brighton’s broader recruitment model.

Tottenham said she made six senior appearances for the club, kept a clean sheet on her competitive debut against Aston Villa and received an England Under-23 call-up in February 2025. That gives Vidosic a goalkeeper with more than academy promise behind her.

The timing matters because Albion have already been active around the women’s squad, with their goalkeeper reset and wider July arrivals giving Vidosic more internal competition before pre-season sharpens.

ReadBrighton has already covered how Heeps’ move gives Brighton Women a goalkeeper reset. This permanent deal now strengthens that point.

For Heeps, the pathway is equally clear. Brighton can offer a first-team environment where young players are not simply parked for depth.

If she settles quickly, this move gives Albion another controllable long-term asset in a specialist position that can quietly decide WSL points.
