Brighton & Hove Albion face a fresh Matt O’Riley decision after Roma reportedly revived their interest in the Denmark international.
Siamo La Roma, citing La Gazzetta dello Sport, claims sporting director Tony D’Amico has met Brighton officials, with O’Riley among the midfield profiles being monitored. Chiesa Di Totti has also reported that Roma are weighing him up while uncertainty surrounds Manu Kone’s future before the June 30 finance cut-off.
We can confirm that Matt O’Riley has returned to the club from his loan spell at Marseille.

Roma Interest Puts O’Riley Future Back In Play
O’Riley returned from Marseille in February, when Albion confirmed he had made 25 appearances for Roberto De Zerbi’s side. The club also noted that Fabian Hurzeler expected him to settle back into the group quickly after gaining regular domestic and Champions League football.
That makes Roma’s interest awkward rather than straightforward. Brighton already have moving pieces in midfield, with Malick Yalcouye’s Hoffenheim talks underlining how busy the club’s summer planning has become.
The key question is whether O’Riley is now viewed as a saleable asset or a player Hurzeler can still fold back into his central rotation. Roma’s timing matters: once their June 30 accounting pressure eases, any exploratory contact could become a more serious test of Brighton’s valuation.
