Brighton & Hove Albion are reportedly in the conversation for Auxerre forward Lassine Sinayoko as Fabian Hurzeler’s attacking plans continue to take shape.
Foot Mercato reports that Sinayoko is in discussions with several clubs in France and across Europe, with Brighton and Leeds United among the English sides showing interest.
The 26-year-old Mali international is under contract at Auxerre until 2027, but the French report frames this summer as the point where a departure has become increasingly realistic.

Hurzeler Gets Clear Low-Risk Upside Call
Sinayoko’s numbers explain why Brighton would look. FotMob records 12 goals and four assists in Ligue 1 last season, plus 2,780 league minutes and a 7.17 average rating.
That is not superstar output, but it is a strong production base for a forward who can play with power, carry the ball and attack space. For Albion, the question is whether he adds a different profile around Georginio Rutter, Danny Welbeck and emerging options.
ReadBrighton has already examined why Georginio Rutter faces a sharper role test after Zadok Yohanna’s arrival. Sinayoko would sit in that same conversation: not a guaranteed starter, but a flexible forward who could raise competition before European football stretches the squad.
At the right price, this is exactly the type of market Brighton should explore early.
