Brighton & Hove Albion’s 125th anniversary is becoming more than a heritage campaign. It is now a full identity push around the Amex, the city and Fabian Hurzeler’s landmark 2026/27 season.
The club have outlined a wide celebration programme, including the Brighton & Hove Albion: Stand or Fall exhibition at Brighton Museum & Art Gallery, a 125 Anniversary Family Festival on the Amex pitch, a city takeover on 24 June 2026 and a designated anniversary match.
Fabian Hurzeler Season Gains Clearer Club Backdrop
The timing matters. Hurzeler is preparing Brighton for a campaign carrying Premier League, European and emotional weight, while the club are also leaning into a deeper supporter story already visible through the anniversary shirt showcase and the Seven Stars plaque unveiling by Brighton & Hove mayor Theresa Fowler.
The museum has confirmed the exhibition will feature historic objects, fan memories and audio-visual installations charting Albion’s rise from formation to the modern top-flight era.
For Brighton, that makes the anniversary a useful bridge between nostalgia and ambition. The message is direct: the club want their next step under Hurzeler to feel rooted in the same city story that created Albion in 1901.
That is particularly valuable before a season where Brighton must sell progress as well as results. The anniversary programme gives supporters a visible reminder that the club’s modern recruitment model, European push and Amex growth are part of a longer fight for permanence, not a detached corporate rebrand.
