Brighton & Hove Albion have confirmed Norway international Emilie Joramo will join the club on a free transfer from Hammarby.
According to Albion’s official announcement, the midfielder will become a Brighton player on 1 July when her Hammarby contract expires, subject to international clearance and the necessary regulatory processes.
Joramo arrives after three seasons in Sweden, with Albion noting she made 85 appearances for Hammarby, including ten in the UEFA Women’s Europa Cup. Her signing gives Dario Vidosic another senior midfield option as Brighton continue reshaping a squad that has already shown clear progress under his management, as covered in our recent Brighton Women analysis.

Dario Vidosic Lands A Proven Scandinavian Midfield Profile
Vidosic has already framed Joramo as a player with the exact defensive bite Brighton need, praising her as a “good ball-winner” with the ability to drive through midfield and pass with range.
The data supports that profile. Flashscore’s player record lists Joramo as a 24-year-old midfielder and credits her with 11 league appearances, two goals and one assist for Hammarby in 2026.
For Brighton, this is not a splash signing. It is a precise one: a free-transfer addition with European experience, international pedigree and a skillset built for a side trying to raise its WSL ceiling.
