Brighton have reportedly been contacted by Barcelona intermediaries over a possible summer move for winger Roony Bardghji.
TEAMtalk claims the Spanish champions have informed Albion that the 20-year-old is available during the current transfer window.
A potential loan move is now being discussed, although no agreement or formal Brighton offer has been reported.
The Sweden international played only 633 minutes in La Liga following his move from FC Copenhagen last summer. Barcelona remain open to a permanent sale, although Bardghji is believed to prefer a loan.
Bardghji offers Brighton another winger option
Brighton’s interest is not new. Albion emerged as a leading Premier League option for Bardghji in June, with his international team-mate Yasin Ayari viewed as a possible influence.
ReadBrighton previously examined how Brighton could use the Ayari connection in the race for Bardghji.
The left-footed winger usually operates from the right, where he can cut inside and attack the penalty area.
His arrival would add competition in a wide department which could change further before the window closes. Brajan Gruda has already agreed a loan move to RB Leipzig, while several other wingers have been linked with Albion.
Bardghji remains under contract at Barcelona until 2029 and is still listed among the club’s senior forwards.
A loan could therefore suit both clubs. Brighton would gain a high-upside attacking option without committing to a major fee, while Barcelona could give Bardghji the regular minutes he needs.
However, the contact currently appears exploratory. Albion must now decide whether the Barcelona youngster fits Fabian Hürzeler’s plans better than their other wide targets.
