Brighton Lead Roony Bardghji Chase As Ayari Factor Emerges

Brighton have emerged as the leading Premier League option for Barcelona forward Roony Bardghji as the 20-year-old weighs up a season-long loan.

According to Barca Blaugranes, citing Diario Sport, Leeds United are also keen, while Stuttgart, Ajax and Porto remain in the wider race. The report adds that Barcelona would be open to a deal if the terms suit all parties, with Bardghji looking for a club where he feels central rather than peripheral.

Ayari Link Could Strengthen Brighton Pitch

The Brighton angle is obvious. Fabian Hurzeler needs attacking flexibility before a European campaign, and Bardghji offers a left-footed right-wing profile with the close control and inside-channel threat Brighton have often targeted early in a player’s value curve.

The presence of fellow Sweden international Yasin Ayari may also matter. Ayari’s own rise has already become a Brighton talking point, with his World Cup form underlining his growing standing inside the squad.

Barcelona’s previous Ansu Fati loan also gives the clubs an existing working relationship, even if that deal was very different in profile and expectation.

For Brighton, the key question is whether Bardghji wants a development platform or guaranteed status. Albion can offer the former with unusual credibility.

With the Premier League summer window open until 1 September at 23:00 BST, this is exactly the kind of opportunistic loan market Brighton can afford to explore before committing major permanent money elsewhere.
