Pre-Season Disruptions
The venue for this match and Brighton’s pre-season camp changed abruptly. The Seagulls were originally scheduled to train in Évian-les-Bains, France. However, the pitches they were meant to use were damaged because they served as helicopter landing zones for world leaders, including US President Donald Trump and UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer, during the G7 summit in June.
As a result, Brighton canceled their planned friendly against Annecy, trained briefly at their own Lancing facility, and relocated their camp to Austria, where the match against Strasbourg will take place.
Following this matchup, Brighton’s pre-season schedule includes friendlies against Roma (August 8th) and Bologna (August 15th) at the Amex Stadium.
