## Fixture offers a major pre-season test

Vidosic described PSG as one of Europe’s leading teams and believes the fixture will provide a serious examination of his squad.

“Playing PSG will be a serious test against one of the best teams in Europe,” he said.

“It will be great to play at the Amex in front of our own supporters and it’s a game we’re really looking forward to.”

The match also forms part of Brighton’s 125th-anniversary year. Vidosic said the club were excited to begin their season with a prestigious fixture at their main stadium.

Albion reached their first Women’s FA Cup final last season before losing to Manchester City at Wembley. Their summer work has focused on strengthening a young squad ahead of another demanding WSL campaign.

[ReadBrighton recently covered the arrival of Republic of Ireland forward Emily Murphy](https://readbrighton.com/2026/07/24/brighton-complete-permanent-signing-of-republic-of-ireland-forward/), who joined from Newcastle United after recording nine goals and 13 assists during her time on Tyneside.

The club have also retained captain Maisie Symonds on a new long-term contract. Symonds is Brighton’s longest-serving player and has made more than 100 appearances for the club.

Facing PSG should give Vidosic an opportunity to assess his new-look squad against strong European opposition. It will also provide supporters with their first chance to watch Albion at the Amex before the new season.
