Brighton & Hove Albion have handed academy goalkeeper Silvana Marshall Miranda her first professional contract with the club.
The 17-year-old joined Albion’s academy in 2019 and will now enter her eighth season on the south coast.
Brighton’s academy confirmed the agreement through its official account, congratulating Marshall Miranda on reaching an important stage in her development.
Women’s under-19 head coach Dani Bowman described the goalkeeper as an established and important member of her squad.
“We’re pleased that Silvana has signed her first professional contract with the club,” Bowman said.
“She’s a young goalkeeper who has established herself as a key player within the under-19s. She’s been at the club for a long time and understands what it means to represent the badge.”

Marshall Miranda was part of the under-19 squad which reached the PGA Cup final in April.
She has also trained regularly with Dario Vidosic’s senior side, giving her valuable experience alongside Brighton’s first-team players.
The contract continues Albion’s work to secure the futures of promising goalkeepers at different stages of the club’s pathway. ReadBrighton recently covered how the Seagulls protected James Beadle’s future with a new four-year deal before approving another loan to Birmingham City.
Marshall Miranda will now look to build on her regular under-19 appearances and move closer to a senior debut.
Her familiarity with the club should support that development. She has spent much of her youth career within Brighton’s system and already understands the standards expected by the coaching staff.
The professional agreement offers another positive marker for Albion’s women’s academy and its route towards Vidosic’s first team.
