Brighton & Hove Albion have been tipped to move for Hearts striker Claudio Braga as Celtic and Rangers compete for the Portuguese forward.
Former Everton and Aston Villa chief executive Keith Wyness believes Tony Bloom could be keen to bring Braga to the Amex Stadium rather than allow him to join one of Hearts’ Scottish Premiership rivals.
Bloom is Brighton’s chairman and also holds a minority interest in Hearts. Braga was identified through the data-led recruitment model introduced at Tynecastle following Bloom’s investment.
Speaking to Football Insider, Wyness suggested the 26-year-old could reject Celtic and Rangers if Brighton provide him with an opportunity to play in the Premier League.
However, there is no confirmation that Brighton have submitted an offer or opened formal negotiations with Hearts.
Brighton could offer Braga Premier League pathway
Braga enjoyed an outstanding first season in Scotland after joining Hearts from Norwegian side Aalesund for around £500,000.
He scored 17 goals across all competitions and was named the Scottish Premiership Player of the Season. His form helped Hearts challenge Celtic for the title until the final day of the campaign.

Hearts are now reportedly seeking around £9m for the striker. Celtic and Rangers have both been linked, while Braga is believed to prefer a move to the Premier League or another leading European competition.
Brighton need greater competition in attack after relying heavily on Danny Welbeck last season. Braga would offer movement, physicality and a strong penalty-area presence, although adapting from Scottish football to the Premier League would represent a significant step.
Wyness’ comments remain informed speculation rather than evidence of an active transfer. Brighton’s connection with Hearts still makes Braga a player worth monitoring as his future attracts growing interest.
