Brighton Must Act Fast As Yasin Ayari Interest Builds

Brighton have accelerated their attempt to secure Yasin Ayari’s long-term future as Premier League and Bundesliga interest gathers around the Sweden midfielder.

According to TEAMtalk, Albion have opened talks over a new contract after Ayari’s breakthrough season under Fabian Hurzeler, with Liverpool, Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United all checking on his situation. The same report credits RB Leipzig and Borussia Dortmund with firm interest from Germany.

The timing is obvious. Ayari scored twice on his World Cup debut as Sweden beat Tunisia 5-1, a performance covered widely after the Brighton midfielder turned tournament attention into market pressure almost overnight.

Why Brighton Cannot Let This Drift

Ayari’s current deal runs to 2027, according to Spotrac, which means Brighton are approaching the final two years rather than a comfortable control window. That matters for a club whose recruitment model depends on protecting value before rival clubs can force leverage.

The 22-year-old is not just a saleable asset. He gives Hurzeler intensity, range and midfield flexibility before a season that includes European football. James Milner’s retirement also removes one senior body from the engine room.

Brighton have handled these moments well before, but this one needs speed. If Ayari wants a clearer pathway, the contract offer must make that pathway visible. If he hesitates, the market already has enough clubs circling to turn a manageable renewal into a genuine summer decision.
