Perry Northeast Brighton Exit Confirmed By Albion

Brighton & Hove Albion have confirmed Perry Northeast will leave his girls’ academy role at the beginning of July, ending a spell with the club that began in 2019.

The update gives Albion a clear summer change inside their female pathway, with Northeast having served as girls’ academy manager during a period of growing focus on youth development across the women’s game.

Brighton’s official latest-news feed described the move as Perry Northeast leaving the girls’ academy, noting that he has been with Albion since 2019 and that his departure will come at the beginning of July.

Northeast Departure Creates Academy Change

This is not a first-team transfer story, but it still matters for Albion’s structure. Academy leadership shapes recruitment, coaching standards and the route from promising age-group players into senior football.

For Brighton Women, who have worked to build a stronger pipeline beneath the first team, the next appointment will be important. The club need continuity for players already in the pathway, while also keeping a clear identity in an increasingly competitive academy landscape.

Northeast’s exit also lands during a wider summer reset across Albion. With the men’s and women’s programmes both preparing for 2026/27, off-pitch appointments can quietly carry real weight.

Brighton have not yet confirmed a successor, so the next development to watch is how quickly Albion move to set the academy leadership for the new season.
