Brighton will face a proper test in their hopes to retain Premier League status as they welcome Swansea City to the Amex. The Seagulls are currently 14th in the division, one point above Swansea in the 16th place and barely above the relegation zone.
Swansea have captured 11 points from their last five league games, including impressive victories against Liverpool and Arsenal. They are unbeaten in 10 matches across all competitions since appointing Carlos Carvalhal as their new manager.
Chris Hughton’s men are currently in a decent run of form themselves, with five matches unbeaten and five points from their last three league games.
At this stage of the season, matches against teams that sit around in the league table become “six-pointers”, and in an especially packed lower mid-table, this match becomes further important – only five points separate the 10th placed team from the relegation zone.
With Jiri Skalak and Steve Sidwell the only absentees, Chris Hughton will have almost a full squad available for tomorrow.
Here is how we expect Albion to line up…
Mathew Ryan (GK)
His last minute heroics against Stoke will be remembered for a while.
Ezequiel Schelotto (RB)
The Argentinian is in form and is the best option at right back.
Shane Duffy (CB)
Has formed a solid partnership with Lewis Dunk.
Lewis Dunk (CB)
Leader of a very solid defensive unit. Only five teams have conceded less goals than Albion this season.
Gaetan Bong (LB)
Has been the choice over Suttner in league games since Chelsea.
Solly March (RM)
Will get his chance.
Dale Stephens (CM)
Has been solid alongside Propper, will start.
Davy Propper (CM)
Jose Izquierdo (LM)
Impressive displays lately.
Pascal Gross (CAM)
Has been superb this season.
Glenn Murray (ST)
Competition from Ulloa and Locadia should encourage him.
